So I've had this car for a few years now. It's been displayed at the NEC a couple of times, but off in storage for the last two years.
It's now back in the garage at home, and I've started to go through it, to see how bad it really is.
This, according to the data we've collected, is the 12th oldest remaining 2000. Ordered on the stand at Earls Court in October 1963, it was delivered in March 1964, and has done under 17,000 miles since.
So far, there's a little rot, and the entire drivers' side outer sill needs replacing, but it's not too bad.
Ideally, I'll finish going over it, and put it up for sale.. but if someone is interested now, let me know.
At the NEC the first time:
Stripped down a little:
The current state - both front wings were scrapped, as too rotten and full of filler. Engine and gearbox are out of the car, and kept in dry storage
On removal from storage a few weeks ago:
The interior:
Engine bay:
Drivers' side floorpan:
Under the back seat, drivers' side:
Front end, drivers' side
