Hello guys. My names Tim and Im 17 from Watnall Nottingham. I've ben into classic cars ever since I was a nipper, in particular British motors. For many years now I've been restoring old bicycles, such as Raleigh choppers and Grifters [my grandfather worked at Raleigh Nottingham for 50 years] But I thought seeing as I have such an interest in old cars, maybe I should look out for a project? I'm no expert when it comes to restoring cars. Infact I'm what you'd call a novice 8) but I know my way round a motor. Anyway, In the small ads of my local rag I've come across a Rover p6 for sale. Its priced at £300 Ono and its been off the road for a number of years...Its a 1973 white, manual, 2.2 twin carb model. the owner told me over the phone that the offside rear passenger door is rotten and there a hole in the front wing. But he assured me it was running before it was parked up. One thing I forgot to ask over the phone is if it has any service history! Going to look at it in a few days time and will probably need some feedback from the forum if I should go for it or not. Anyway ill keep you posted and thanks for letting me join
Thanks all!
Tim
