Wood Trim Again

The recent debate and enthusiasm for real wood trim instead of the formica prompts me to point out this car on Ebay Ebay P6 . In addition to the normal locations, the owner has added wood trim instead of the leathercloth on the dash rail and very neatly clad the transmission tunnel finisher. I think both look cracking! Not sure about the wood on the speaker grill though...

Doesnt look right though!
Will always look an afterthought as opposed to original!!
The same as messing up the round dial trim surround with stick on wood effect trim as some have done!! YUCK!!
 
Personally I think the standard arrangement is nicely understated. The proliferation of wood trim on this particular car is a bit of an attack on the senses. The real wood trim on the doors does look nice however.

Not sure about what appears to be a carpeted parcel shelf - I think there is nothing wrong with the standard textured rubber mat - at least you can clean this if someone leaves sweeties or chocolate on it that melt in the sun! The carpeted affair reminds me of Parisian bathroom where everything (including walls and ceiling) is clad in finest carpet.

If I bought the car the carpeted parcel shelf and additional wood trim would be the first to go.
