Wiring Electric Fuel Pump

After one or two issues with the mechanical pump, I'm thinking of installing a Huco sucker pump in the engine bay.

I've seen different opinions from people who've gone down this road about the need for a relay, or just a new 12V ignition-controlled feed to the pump via a fused inertia switch.

Thoughts from those who've done it especially welcome!

I just have it wired through the inertia switch. No problems. We are only dealing with 2amps max. and switches only are stressed when the switch activates and arcs (why you might want them in the headlight circuit). The switch will hopefully never operate. If you should need to reset it, you'll do this with the ignition off anyway so it shouldn't be an issue.

The relay just introduces another point of failure IMHO.

This is the type I have, from many Land Rover, Rover, Austin and Peugeot products (probably others). I'm guessing as it is easy to find, it is what you have. It's rated at 10 amps and says "Capable of carrying fuel-pump load" so a relay is utterly pointless
