where does the black tube on gear box go?

Hi, can anyone tell me if the black tube on the right handside of the gear box, is a vent tube or does it need to be connected to the vacuum...many thanks

Chances are you mean the breather tube, but knowing where you've seen the pipe, which model of P6, and which type of gearbox would increase your chances of finding out for certain. If it is the breather tube it just vents to atmosphere.
