When engine is removed, what repairs are not to be missed?

I will remove the engine and gearbox to repair the clutch on my 2200 TC. Can anyone give me some advice what I should take the opportunity to check and/or repair/renovate when I have this easy access to the engine bay and engine (the car worked fine before the clutch problem)? I'm planning to clear the engine bay to fix some rust and repaint it. But, what other things are not to be missed?

Engine side panels, and bearings at the bottom end on 4 pots i believe....

Rubber gromit where the throttle rod goes through the bulkhead.
Engine mounts - replace with VW items.

Rear crankshaft oil seal

Replace timing chains and guides. They can be done in place, but it is a pig of a job.

While your engine is out check on the accelerator shaft grommet. This is a pain to replace while engine is in , easy job with engine out and most are split.
