What the? Interior?

This was in the boot of my p6 when i brought her 12 mths ago, the same colour as my interior, i had taken it out and came accross it the other day, i have no idea what it is, where its for, as i cant see anything missing, there are no numbers on the back, no identifiers, any ideas guys?

Does your car have AC? It may have been used to trim one of those Aussie ac units that fit in place of the passenger glovebox.

It doesnt have an air con, however when i did get the car it came with a spare heater box, supposedly that was usable for air con, but its got all the same part no's as the one in the car, you may well be right.... i wonder.... nothing appaears to be missing from the car

That is a truly mad idea!
That's the drawback of a symmetrical interior - everything has to go on either the left or right. And unless you sit in the middle of the car, you're reaching right over to adjust things. The pet res knob is far enough for me, I couldn't cope with that AC!
