The heated garage is probably the best thing you can do Bri so I wouldn't worry - I'm jealous! Back to your question, I'm not so sure about the "sweat" factor of paint if there is one but depending on the cover & environment you could get condensation forming underneath a cover with a slight temperature differential. I'd think that more likely the case with a vehicle outside than in with the warming/cooling of the metal vs. ambient temps. So long as you're using a 'breathable' cover (i.e. not a blue or plastic tarp - which I doubt you have) - the cover will likely serve quite nicely to keep dust etc off the car & I can't imagine it causing any problem.

The heated garage bit sounds ideal! But be careful with the cover. Just use a dust cover - aka bed sheet - so that it can breath properly, otherwise you risk the paint microblistering. Another worthwhile tip is to jack the car up onto blocks so that the tyres are relieved. Otherwise you risk getting flat spots on the tyres. Finally turn the engine over regularely so that you get oil to all the important places. Either start it and run until properly warmed through, or leave the plugs out and turn over on the starter motor until you have had full oil pressre for two or three minutes. About once a fortnight sounds about right.

Some more things of course...

Humidity - a dehumidifier in the garage or appropriately containered desiccant in the vehicle may help with moisture levels.

Wildlife - watch out for any 'edibles' that may attract critters that appreciate a nice heated garage & a cozy P6.

If you're keeping the car gassed up - don't forget a fuel stabilizer additive & to run them through the tank, lines & carbs.

And if you want to give your neighbours a good laugh - you could always go with the plastic bubble option

I was always told that a car port was the best place to store a regularly used car as it kept bird bob and tree sap off the paint plus the worst of the weather / UV sunlight but allowed the car to dry underneath quicker than it would do in a normal garage. Not quite as secure though obviously!

There are also tyre cradles to be bought in the UK that are claimed to help avoid flat spots without having to put the car on blocks - as seen here but significantly cheaper.
