Wanted on ebay ?

I dropped him an eBay message to ask him if he wants to join our club and forum.

After all - that is the best way to keep our cars on the road - and meet us lot :D

Hi Tom.

Welcome to the best place for info and help on anything P6 related.

You will be needing the large bore system for your car. "54mm"
I presume it is an auto?,as manuals and auto front pipes are different.
The main down pipe seems to last quite well, and occasionally NOS ones turn up on ebay.
I have a good s/h center box you can have for the cost of p/p.
Good s/h back boxes are difficult to source, took me a while to get one for mine,so I made a straight through big bore 3" stainless tail pipe, sound awesome if you like that extra rumble,,I dont so will be fitting the rear box that took me ages to find,so you might as well have that as well.
Unless you have a mate that can pick it all up from 14m north of Bristol.
Let me know.

I am finally going all stainless, but that wont be happening till Feb,as I have a VW project car I have to get done and sold first.

Hi dave
that would be great :D could you send them to me if it isnt to much of a hasle and are you sure you dont want any more than just p/p
thanks tom
by the way love your p6 :D looks very nice

Hi Tommy and welcome to the forum

In the couple of years that I've owned my P6 I've changed 2 parts of the exhaust. The front downpipe section, which I got off ebay a few months back, and the front silencer box which I've had done in stainless steel. Like Pilkie, I'm now going down the stainless route when I need new sections. The front downpipe section cost me about £100 for a NOS one and whilst they do come up occassionally because they are so sought after you will end up paying over the odds.

Good luck in your search, I'm sure the bits you want will be lying around in some forum member's garage or loft somewhere.

Dave

Hi Tommy,

Glad you found us - I think you can see what I mean about how helpful and knowledgeable this forum is!

Now - start a new thread, perhaps in the "Welcome" section, and put up some photos of your car - we like photos :D

Hi Tom.

Will sort out p/p cost over the hols and let you know.
Got to take off the tail pipe bit on the V8 car and put the box on,am using my 1970 2000sc as my daily driver for a while.
Was using my V8 as a daily car for last 10yrs but giving it a winter rest and its due a bit of tlc,so not using it at the moment.
I think those other sites are covering all sorts of cars, maybe useful, only 1 way to find out.
But for 1st hand experience, and lots of expert help you will find all your needs and answers here.

Which part is actually blowing at the moment?
Has a box blown or is it the main downpipe?
Actually there are 2 types of fitment/joints on the pipes!!
1 has it all built in on the pipework, and the other uses an exhaust ring that clamps between the 2 flared ends of the pipes.

well had it put on a ramp when i looked at it the previous owner has put pug on it all over the place the lot is really badly corroded i was lucky i got it throw its mot when i took it for a long run about i heard about 4 or 5 bive bits of pug fall out it is beyond repair

Yes it takes a bit of saving up for the stainless exhaust. That's why mine is getting done a section at a time.

If you go to a specialist supplier they can pretty much make you an exhaust to give whatever sound you like. The front box I put on mine has made it sound even better :D and that was from Rover Classics.

Hi Tom,

I do like the look of the Magic Dragon, she does look like a very nice example. Glad you've also put some pics up of the interior too!

Look after her and she'll give you loads of loyal service - and visit p6club.com, join up and come and see us all at some shows.

Cheers,
Bri.

Welcome to the forum, and you have a very nice looking car. I'm not sure I have actually seen another Pendelican P6 with Bronze interior. Good luck with your exhaust, etc.

Cheers, Adam.
