WANTED... Grab handle...!

Further to what I have seen in other threads on here I would love to get my mits on one of these fabled 'grab-handles'...! I would like to know when they were offered as an option (to see if it would be relevant to my motor) and how mch they are worth now. Also does anybody have a picture of what they look like when fitted and are there going to be some repro's done...?!

If you scroll down the latest thread re. police spoilers in this section you'll find plenty info.

Cheers

Tor

Heres a pic of mine fitted in the correct place.
They are extreemly rare,I have only ever seen 1 other!!
I have to right click on the pic and select view image to see the full pic on my pc due to the problem raised in another thread!

Will it make it to £100???
Would'nt surprise me!!
Its even rarer than an original boot or S2 bonnet badge,1 or a set of rostyles, and they get silly money!!

I've seen quite a few in my time - they were initially offered in early 1968 and if you're going to find one on a car it'll be one of that vintage, quite a few were fitted then methinks.

The grab handle fetched £80.90
I wonder whos bought it then ??????????????????
Who will admit to it!
Who's going to fit it to their concourse car??

Hi Chris.
Glad its going on a nice car, eventually!
Isnt it a false economy to spend out to reproduce an item that is likely not to be bought in enough numbers to justify the expense?
Better IMHO,,to invest any developement funds into items that are essential items for all P6's!
Rare optional extra,s should remain as rare items to be sought and bought by enthusiasts!
Otherwise wheres the fun in just buying a repro!

Indeed. I spent £20 on a "one of Britain's fine cars" screen sticker which I'd been wanting for a while & then saw you can buy repro's for somewhat less. Doh!

Yeah I spotted that grab handle too.

I'm going to show my ignorance now and ask what NOS actually means?

cheers
