Victory By Design

Hello,
As it's getting a bit too cold this time of year to play around in my cold garage, I recently started watching a series of motoring programs called Victory By Design while indoors in the warm. They have been available to watch on DVD for a few years, but I've not seen them before until now. They're hosted by (IMHO) the great Alain De Cadenet, who is just superb to watch and to listen to. The program is about car manufacturers that have been invovled in motor racing of some sort. For a little taster (if you havent seen one before) there's an complete episode on Jaguar to watch on you tube. Don't forget to turn up the volume when he drives the XJ-13 - nearly brings me to tears. The other episodes can only be watched in their entirety on DVD or Sky/Cable etc.

If you haven't seen or heard of this program before, and have an interest in cars, you'll not be disappointed

Have been following this on cable, and its an excellent historic look at various great marques over the years, and his enthusiasm is infectious!!
Almost makes me wanna buy an E-Type or a Ferrari!!!

I think I saw this series on one of the Sky channels a few months back. It was very good and well presented. The presenter manages to cram a lot of info into each episode, on marque history, key people, race history, technical spec's, car development, plenty of good close up footage of actual racing cars in stunning condition and he even goes for a drive in most of them.

Not trading in my P6 for a Bugatti or Ferrari just yet though.
