Hey, I have access to a SD1 3500 Vanden Plas rusting away on a farm before it is taken away for scrap soon, anyone know if the Vanden Plas exhaust outlet manifold will fit a 1970 p6 3500 auto, was wondering about overheating and fitment issues and what the benefit would be, worth doing?

Hi Bert,
Sadly, in a word, no. Although the manifold will fit onto the cylinder heads without a problem, just as to be expected, the design of the manifod itself precludes fitment within the P6B engine bay. The SD1 manifold sweeps back for a reward exit which means that it won't fit at all within the available space.

Why not put this on the SD forum/s? It would be a shame to see it go to
the scrapyard if someone could get some bits off it, and you or the owner
could make a few pence of it, too.
