V8 P6 Monster Burnout!! - found on youtube

Nice set of alloys fitted to it, wonder what they are, they really suit it. Twin tail pipes look smart aswell.

According to th owner it is! - not sure how long it will last though!

I quote

"To all concerned. Just surfing through youtube (like you do!) and came across, to my surprise, myself giving my P6 a good hiding. Yes it is a standard diff, the tyres weren't expensive, but the vomit enducing amounts of money spent on the engine make up for it! And yes you did see this running the 1/4 at Pod, 15.02 as it's best run. "

I'm very surprised it's a standard diff. Normally you need an LSD to get both rear wheels smoking up like that.

To the owner of the car........Top marks!:D

Haha....Impressive stuff! Not really too difficult though, thought I'd try it in my own totally standard 3500 Auto! You can keep your LSD's, turns out all you need is a heavy right foot! I'll try and get some footage up on youtube soon....maybe we can start a trend!! :;):

Go For It!!!!!!!

(I've got a diff I can sell you.................. :D )

You don't need a line lock for the front wheels, you just apply the brakes very lightly, the front brakes will hold and the rear brakes will be overcome by the power, this also helps to stop the diff pushing all the power to one wheel.

Hi Guys

Sorry to bump this post back up again, but does anyone know anything about the car in the original burnout video?

One of the earlier posts on YouTube suggests that it has a small block chevy motor, but doesn't really give much information on top of that.

Thanks

Alex

No, but a week or two ago I did find some chippings that were caught in the rear valance! :)

I probably won't make a habit of it!

Phil.

Yeah, i've seen that car run at santapod "run what ya bung" days loads of times. Its definately still rover powered. Think its a 3.9 EFi the guys spent shed loads on it apparently. Despite doing stonking great burnouts it only runs in the 15's.
I think he was a bit disapointed tbh.
