V8 fuel pump

At a glance, the actuating lever that fits inside the timing cover is different to the P6 lever.

Whether or not you could separate the top section with the valves and diaphragms and use the lower section of a good secondhand P6 pump with the correct lever, I couldn't say? :?

Knowing your competence KiwiRover, I'll refrain frm asking why not overhaul the existing - so why do you need a NEW pump?

I could Chris but it's not on my car. Scotts list a rebuild kit for one type of pump but I'm not sure which pump is on the car and I don't want to disable the car for any period of time as it's a daily driver. I was hoping there was a simple answer. It's not looking good though is it? I guess if I can find a suitable blanking plate for the pump, I can keep him running with an electric while I fix the mechanical.
