V8 exhaust centre box?

Got a new exhaust centre box for a p6 v8, however when i tried to fit it, it was slightly wrong. it does have a sticker on it saying Rover 3500 1968-1976 but has one part number on the sticker and one just put on it with perminant marker pen, so if somebody could help me find out what it is actually for, maybe a 2000 or a 2200? then id appreciate it, its for sale anyway.

What diameter are the pipes? 47mm or 54mm?
What is slightly wrong?
Early 68-71 were 47mm, after 71, 3500s were 54mm, with auto's being 47mm up to 75, then 54mm.
All 47mm front boxes should fit 2000/2200 with a 2 box system+small bore V8's."IIRC!!!"
Some makes were longer/shorter to mate with the down pipe!

What price inc p/p for it??
 
Some makes differ and had a longer section of pipe to connect to the shorter main section from the engine!
Surprising what a difference 6" can make to getting it to fit in! :wink:
