V8 auto gearbox - is there an overdrive box?

Hi members, I posted a message in Oct querying wheher an overdrive gearbox could be fitted to the P6 V8. I'm now a member of the Perth[W.Australia] Rover Club, and a member has suggested a Toyota Supra auto-o/drive box. Ian at V8Engines UK says he knows of of either a BMWZFHP22/24.

For interest's sake, I 'll keep members informed, but will keep any spare cash for improving appearances at the moment.

Incidentally, my original concern with the car was the noise- and guess what?- this was a seized viscous fan! I have another one now, but will leave the installation until after summer- as temperatures here will reach 40+degrees, and I have an airconditioner as well.

I spent a few hours today cleaning up a front passenger door to replace one with some rust damage. There are plenty of P6's available here as runners or for parts.

Are Toyota's popular in Aus ?. I only ask because Australia seems to be the originator of many (good) gearbox conversions (5 speed MG Midget, 5 speed RV8 alternative etc) and they all involve Toyota box's. I understand they make good boxes, it's just that if anyone over here is thinking of swapping, Toyota never seems the obviouse choice, they will probabaly use a Ford box.
