Uprated anti roll bar

Hi , Has anybody fitted an Uprated anti roll bar to a P6 2000 . What thickness is the uprated product ? My standard bar is 11/16 . I have been offered one and don’t know whether to go for it or not . Thank you

Cant remember the size my uprated bar is as I put it in about four years ago.
One of the better P6 improvements one can do in the comfort of your own front yard.
Ive have a "B" but the bar fits both

I fitted a 25.5mm uprated front anti roll bar and I would highly recommend the modification. No more lurching around roundabouts at a frightening angle. You won't regret fitting a beefier front ARB to your 2000 if you enjoy spirited driving.

ive fitted two, 100% positive, no downsides at all, i have to admit both were on V8's but a cant see any reason a 2000 would be just as good

If you intend to buy one go for the 25mm bar. It wont make your car a bone shaker, but will transform it without spoiling the ride.

I would warn there most definitely is a ride quality compromise on uneven road though. Very noticeable on one particular road near me. It's not unacceptable.

I made a 25mm hex bar in 4140 steel tempered to spec. I've found the ride very much as it was but handling and body control are much improved in corners. Especially with transfer of load from side to side.
Here's mine next to the original 17mm hex ARB, I've also attached my drawings for reference.

The road in question is rutted due to heavy vehicles. Before the car would glide over it, now you are quite aware of the side-side unevenness. Mostly its not a problem though. Mine is 24mm so I assume 25+ would be worse. I like the effect of new HD springs though.
