Unchartered Territory

You can have all our old BMWs after our bogans have done with them.

Hate to think of the state of them...terrifying to see what the N.Z boges do to Commodores and Falcons here...my goodness!

Is it any worse than what your own ferals do to them? I've seen some terribly mutilated Falcodores in Oz - surely they can't all be the work of Kiwi bogans?

Over here 90s-vintage Jap-import BMWs are much favoured by the local chav-equivalents (we don't have a term for them, so I'll henceforth use the UK pejorative). They can buy them on tick for next to nothing; and driving around in an ancient, filthy and dented Beemer makes them feel flash.

generally you can pick up ZF's cheap here, my own Discovery box and bell housing complete with selector and torque convertor cost me NZ$20.00 or 10 Pounds :D and as Warren can attest to it looks clean enough inside however like any thing else that was on that day a different day may have been more expensive.
Never freighted any thing heavy at all to OZ but how bad can it be for a heavy freight rate, I doubt there is any duty involved on second hand used parts and if you hunted about a bit you could probably do a consolidated freight with other companies that already do such trade.

That is CRAZY cheap...at that price, freight to QLD is worth investigation.

Together, my two ZFs cost less than $300, and that includes being bent over and raped by the wrecker who sold me the Land Rover one as soon as he heard I wanted the torque converter, flex plate, etc.
