Saw two gorgeous S2 P6s in the pictures last night watching Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.
First was an Almond V8S with Huntsman. Second was a 2000TC in Mexico.
Almond car was on a G plate (they often display different plates on screen to give the impression that the car is contemporary to the year in which the film is set).
Mexico car was a 1971 model year (separate boot letters) and wearing a J plate (probably correct).
Does anybody on here own one of them?
Can't remember any more details than that at the mo, but I'll make a mental note next week when I go and see it again!
Seriously, if you like your Le Carre, this is the must see film of the year! British actors and British production doing what they do best. Gritty, intense and totally captivating. For the first time since Life on Mars, the primary focus of my attention whilst watching a 1970s period drama was NOT the cars! (despite the seriously beautiful Citroen DS which was Guillam's personal transport) Flabbergasting... just go! (but remember to eat your sardines first - even if you've read the books, it still takes a lot of concentration!!)
