I have a couple of spares here on Anglesey. I'd like 25 pounds for one and I guess carriage will add another 15.
I'll dig them out and take some photos when/if the rain stops. They've been used so will need rubbing back and painting. I also have a third that I had blasted and galvanised - apart from one section that I forgot to include. I'd want a bit more for that one...
The one in your photo looks like a straight one - the length running behind the bumper can be straight or bent. I thought overriders were hard to fit to the straight type so am not sure how it's working there.
Hi Gaz,
I've just taken some photos of the two spare towbars.
The main difference is that No.1 has two braces that bolt through the boot floor. They sit either side of the rear jacking point.
No.2 has a single brace and bolts through the jacking point (and boot floor) which needs drilling as in the 6th photo. My own car has the No.1 type as shown in the last photo. Personally I prefer this type, though the 1st type could make sense if your rear jacking point has already been drilled at some stage.
Whichever you choose, it will need rubbing back and painting. You'd best assume that you'll need to find a few bolts too as the existing ones may be a bit rusty or missing.
