I have some stone chips I would like to touch in on my car, the local paint shop have told me they cannot supply the paint in a touch up stick like they can for modern paints.

Has anyone used or recomend an online supplier which will post a touch up stick or small tin of paint.

thanks

Robert

Hi Robert,

It is still possible to get aerosols made up - there are a few places on the net. This can be used with a touch-up brush by spraying into the can lid.

The matches are not always successful but probably worth a try.

If you have seen the endless repeats of Top Gear on Dave you may have noticed that they're sponsored by Halfords. One of their little adverts shows a guy asking for red paint for a '69 Mini to which the assistant says he has it in stock.

So, I went to my local Halfords to ask if they had and Zircon Blue and they said no problem as long as I have the paint code but they can pretty much do all the old BL colours. They have aerosols, touch up sticks and tins to use with your own paint gun.

Give'em a go, they might have your paint too.

Thanks guys.

I had a quick search on google and found many suppliers. I used a company called Auto Paint St Helens, who can send paint by post. I got a small tin with brush delivered for under £10 and it looks like a good match.
