Tony's French Zircon Blue

Hello everyone, here is a short presentation...
I am the proud owner for three years of a nice 1971 p6 2000tc S2 (zircon blue)
and already some usual adventures that speak of oil or gasoline leaks, loneliness in open country...but never mind the price, we all know what is love in fact.
My son and I first have refreshed all the interior specially the leather and the bodywork had a very long polish , so she looks pretty good now and moreover, it's a very unusual car in France, but...
I'll ask you some questions about my car soon : she may have a new fit of temper....
Anyway thanks for this forum, very helpfull .
Tony

Welcome, a very nice car !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a question for you - how did you re fresh the seats to look so good ?

Mark

Well, Mark, to refresh the leather is quite easy but it takes time... Remove the seats (4 nuts)...
Water and glycerin soap, degreaser, then deying (colours are caramel for the seats and chocolate for the doors and gloves boxes), and at least a fixative. I bought the products at Alta's website (a small firm near Agen, in fact I live fifty miles from there In the region of french greatest Rugby teams) .
See the link with good advices and subtitles because you're not supposed to understand french with occitan accent :).
Two years after, the result is still pretty nice and the total cost was about 100 pounds, no more ( but my wife's mercy).

Welcome to the forum Tony and thanks for posting up the video with the leather care products.
It looks as if it's better from similar products that i have used in the past.

I just happen to know that there are another 2 or 3 P6 owners at Gironde, that they are quite active through the season, taking their cars to local shows etc. They can't be too far away from you.
