Timewarp '72 2000SC...

I think somebody posted a link to that last week. I have seen it before anyway.

Stunning car. Can't see it breaking the £7k barrier personally. The 1961 Talago car (a pre-production prototype 2000 later used as a development hack for the V8 engine installation) only sold for £18.5k last year, and that was with a number plate worth £10k. History was dubious, had been restored at a cost of £65k and certainly wasn't the pre-prod car any more, but even so it was basically a £8.5k sale. Could a bog standard 2000SC beat that price?? Not sure....

'Tis beautiful though. I love Ziron on a series 2.

The red 1971 3500 miler Mark Gray saw a couple of years ago didn't sell, as far as I'm aware, for the £7k asked.

Most I've ever heard of a 4-cylinder P6 selling for is also £7k, that was a 12k miler '72 2000SC with power steering added.

What I cannot work out is how a car from Kent finishes up in Yorkshire. If it was a bereavement sale you would hardly call a garage in Yorkshire if you lived in Kent and IMHO most elderly people who come to terms with the fact their beloved Rover will no longer drive with them at the wheel contact the Club or local enthusiast(s) to ensure it goes to 'a good home' rather than let a dealer earn an exorbitant profit on their pride and joy. Had it been advertised in the usual suspects I'm sure someone on here would have seen it. A nice car maybe but given you could get a very very nice V8 AND 2000/2200 for £7K who on earth is gonna pay that sort of money for what is in many ways just an 'ordinary' P6 who's value will plummet like a stone the minute you start puttin some miles on the clock. :(

The red 3500 mile 2000sc did sell for £7k when it sold.
And whats more , the company involved in the sale of this blue car was the same company that acted on behalf of the buyer of the red 2000
