WANTED as anyone got a good cylinder head for a 2200 tc, iv just bought a set of twin carbs and manifold for my 2200sc but didnt know the sc inlet manifold was part of the head!   [you live and learn] iv been offerd a tc head by a very nice chap, but it needs a vale seat doing, and dont know if theres any other damage its still on the engine, plus will the tc head fit on the sc bottom end

How does he know the valve seat needs doing if the head is still on the engine? Yup, tc head will fit ok. That is a bit of an embarrassing mistake to make. I think i've made a few like that before too. (like not doing the lock tabs the cam shaft sprocket)

I always wanted to know why they continued with the sc head and not just start making a different inlet manifold for the sc models and use the same head across the range. I'm sure the strange port shape and odd lengths help the sc to burn out valves, which they seem to be good at. don't' know about the TC head.

You'll need to change your exhorts manifold too.

2000 and 2200 (SC and TC) are not the same, a 2000 head will fit a 2200, but not the other way round. 2200 heads are better if you have the 2200 bottom end, because of the larger valves.
