Take Nothing For Granted

Been away on business for a few days, so not had a chance to take the old girl out for a proper run, (the car not the Mrs    ).

Chris is Happy to be back behind the wheel of her Dad's pride and joy.

Note to self: must go out earlier next time when the sun is not so low :?

Lovely evening out, driving around for about an hour or so, and both cars behaved themselves, except Rover seemed to be suffering with the fuel vapour lock issue, (which she has never done before), after we stopped for ten minutes :? Oh well, I guess there will always be something to do!!!

Looks splendid now. I realised that never answered the question posed about the connections between the 918cc Eight and the Jaguar XK . It was that both were drawn up by Claude Baily who designed the 8 engine and was one of the three Jaguar men who thought up the details on the XK . It was he who translated Wally Hassan and William Heynes's ideas on the design into reality by putting them down on paper

Harry Mundy, incidentally, mentioned in an earlier answer, came later and was a key part of the 12 cylinder project
