Stupid question about Rostyles.

It may be a stupid question, but i´m about to get new tires to my Rostyles, but suddenly started doubting that they will be airtight with tubeless tires, as they are riveted together.

Hej,
I've never had Rostyles, but I've had other car's with split rims and never had a problem. Although one thing to bear in mind is if the wheels have been chemically dipped to refurbish them the chemical used can erode any sealing compound originally used. There was a product we used I think it was called rimseal(?) That helped the tyre up onto the bead and sealed any imperfections in the rim. It's used for motorcycle tyres mainly, short of rebuilding them I think there's only one surefire way of finding out if they're airtight or not. Hopefully someone else can point you right on this.

Mine are fine with the tubeless tyres. (So are the Magstars which are also rivetted) I had a new set fitted and then the car basically sat around for a couple of years. When I refitted them to my new car, they had only lost a small amount of pressure. Still, if you get the tyres fitted and they leak, just get some tubes put in. I had to do this with my Cosmics as the alloy was a bit porous.
