Stolen TR5 and P5B Coupé

What an awful picture - you'd think that as it's a stolen car, they would have included the licence plate.

And what exactly is a "1969 Rover 9XD"???

Reading this got me thinking. Does any one know if that 'finger print' invisable paint you can get for your stuff in the house would work on car parts? Just that the police when ever they raid a scumbags house run a UV light over any kit to see if it has this paint on it. The paint is invisable and has micro dots with a unquie number on them.

Getting some and painting the areas that would be easy to check when on sale or at a show, could be worth while. Then if your car gets nicked get one of the these UV lights and trawl the adds for anything that looks familier and go and have a look. I would say the TR5 will be stripped or have it's ID changed. Maybe the same for the P5B......

There is an automotive equivalent called Datatag, it's not only the paint that you get in the kit, there are other parts too which are undetectable by a thief and even if the car was broken up for parts it would still show up. Cheap deterrent which helps with insurance costs too. Can't be bad. :D
