What's the factory steel wheel gloss level?

I don't remember them being particularly shiny.

Well it would make sense that they match the sills and wheel trims.

However I have a pic of a met police car with the wheel trims removed and they look shiny??

The sills and wheel trims were factory finished in Satin black. The steering wheel hub and the motif edging are actually Matt black. The photos below are of a NOS centre motif.

The finish of the steel wheels was indeed gloss, but the trims and sills were satin.
