starter wires?

Hi,

after taking the engine out a few months ago Im finally putting it all back, but foolishly didn't pay enough attention when it was coming apart (I thought I knew the engine bay well enough...) and have a spare cable.

Does anyone know how many chunky brown wires go to the starter..? Is is a single, a pair going to a single connector or both? it looks like its both but I don't recall taking 2 leads off!

The thick brown wires sound like the ones that come from the alternator, and so I suggest you check and see that is where they do come from, and if that's the case then they both will go on the same terminal as the main lead from the battery goes on.

Thanks, the twin cable comes out of the loom at the block connector from the alternator, and is the right length, and the single comes from the same direction.

I thought they did go to the starter, but didn't want to damage anything by connecting it up wring
