solenoid replecement

just a quick question - are there any solenoids that are compatible with the 2000sc or would it need to be a "genuine" piece?

If you mean a seperate solenoid for a series one with an inertia starter then any one of the correct type will do. It was never a Rover part originally, it was Lucas. You should be able to match one up easily at an auto electrical suppliers, or an old school motor factors.

i'm in work at the moment so can't check, but i'd like to buy a solenoid this morning.

could someone just confirm what solenoid i'd need for a 2000sc inertia starter
