Short story long, I'm putting a 3.5 into my Mk2 Cortina. I've been keeping an eye out for a cheap 4.6 (for later, the 3.5 has to go in for the car to be certified as I'm only 'supposed' to go to 3.7L max capacity) and I managed to get one at price I couldn't resist. Before I got assurances from a mate who is a retired mechanic that the cam in my 3.5 is fine, I had already bought a new one for it (see attached cam card). So now I wonder if this cam will be ok in my 4.6 when the time comes to rebuild it, with 3.5 timing case etc as I want a dizzy, and I need it to remain looking like a 3.5 (intake is edelbrock/holley). By my maths it should be ok, but I am no expert.
