Well after seeing gareths sill cover painting and after an advisory about a small amount of corrosion on the inner sill i was motivated to remove the sill cover on my p6.... Really wish i hadn't.

the closing panel into the wheelarch was made entirely of glassfibre, filler and an exhaust rubber for added bouncyness, so ivr chipped it all out and i now need to know what it should look like so i can fab thepanels.

does anyone have any pictures of how it should look specifically how the closing panel at the end of the sill is constructed

thanks in advance

thanks Madant, that is some impressive stuff there, very neat and thorough job.

The bit that is confusing me is at the end of the sill where the jacking tube protrudes through, behind this there is the curved section which goes right to the end of the sill by the wheelarch, and it then has a closure panel (mine didnt have this) i dont know what shape and how it attaches on, where the lips are etc. do you have any photographs of that section or have you not reached that part of your ground up frabrication job!

thanks

it gets worse....

removed the wing today and the rest of that vertical panel from the sill is rusted out, as is the edge of the door aperture as it meets the wheelarch, wing could do with replacing as well

im going to start a project thread i think

does anyone know if there is a catalogue (with pictures not just vague explanations of what the panel is) available so i can see what is available and what will need to be fabricated

thanks

jamie
