SERIES ONE NUT NZ

Hi,
New member from Kerikeri New Zealand. P6 nut from way back. First job on leaving school was selling spare parts for them, can still remember the part numbers! Love this forum, has been a huge help last winter when I was crawling around doing the brakes, rear suspension, UJ's etc.. on the V8. Recently bought a 2000sc auto S1 first registered in NZ April 1971 on Trademe saved from the demolition derby. Only 64,000 miles in good nick for a parts car, but may end up putting her back on the road! My only worry in life is that Kiwi Rover is going to buy all the remaining P6's in NZ.
Cheers,
Phil

Nice motors!! good to have you here on the forum.
They can be addictive, I am on the look out for a p6bS with powersteer, leather and sundyme glass in good order.

Hi Phil, so you bought that auto eh? I was getting quite tempted after I saw the questions on the auction and almost bought it myself. :) Glad it's gone to a good home.
Be good to catch up if you find yourself down in Auckland sometime.

TWO cars in Davos White with red leather is very greedy! One of the very best colour combinations I think. Welcome aboard!

Hey Graeme there is an S for sale here in Kerikeri on Trade Me at the moment started at $8000 a year ago now $5000 had a look a while back she has been in the salt air a lot so has rust problems price needs to keep going down.Im sure there is a rust free South Island car lurking in a shed somewhere ! Cheers Phil.

Nice ! how ever there are a few things that need a closer look, such as the badging i dont think 1974 cars came out with boot mounted V8 badge or a front console badge but thats no problem, looking at carjam seems to show that the speedo is listed 100,000kms to high as i dont beleive that car would have traveled that much in the few years but then i could be wrong. Certainly a lot of love and care has been spent on it, under the bonnet shows a few upgrades also. Just wish I had 4K to spend at the moment but I suspect if I did the wife would be come a self inflicted widow  If I had the 4K available i would be looking at anothe Rover on TM not a p6b, if I had 8k I would have both and the wife would be a suspect!!
