SD1's, love them or hate them?

I've just bought an SD1 for a quick project  , just wondered if there's enough love for them here to put a thread up, or if they're still hated as not a real Rover then I won't so as not to offend? :D

Love them! The P10 project in its final, contorted guise. Fabulous styling and interior (shared with P10 and Range Rover to some extent), shame about the running gear and quality of trim. I'd still have one though!

I really do like an SD1! I know a few people with them, and they do have quite a lot of appeal, though I've not owned one, yet.

I love them have a life long appeal, when i was a boy my mother cleaned houses and one of the owners took me along to the dump in an oporto red VDP.....

Great cars in many ways vast load lugging abilit space for passengers, engine bay you can work in. The SD1 is very different from the P6 and addresses alot of its short comings.

Get some photos up and lets us see what you have bought.

I've never actually driven one but i've always loved the look since childhood... - only one i've been in is Clive Annable's diesel one...

They look better than they used to, but a let down compared to what came before (the most uncomfortable rear seat I've ever sat in too).
Post a thread about it anyway.

Bring it on . I'd sooner see one of them coming toward me than some faceless euro box S**te , in the perscribed silver or black ! :D

I like them. Haven't owned one, also remember having being mightily impressed as an 8yr old boy by an uncle who drove a Moonraker blue Vanden Plas. Open a thread, people who don't love 'em don't have to read about it. Great clip that, Stina. Have to admit I think I'd rather have that Beemer though.

Fantastic cars, especially the pre-facelift ones.

Sold my last one a few months ago as trying to downsize my fleet.

Love them, great cars and fantastic value for money too. Always enjoy getting behind the wheel of my mate's early Avocado 2600 when I have the chance, it feels solid, well panted on the road and very comfortable...

"Well panted" I should hope so too , Nothing worse than bad pants !

Looks like there is some love for the ugly duckling of the classic Rover range!

I've wanted a Vitesse in moonraker blue for a very long time, to me it's the pick of the bunch especially in twin plenum form 8)

Something like this one would be just perfect

I'll be starting a little thread on mine in a little while then :)
