Finally got hold of SD1 5 speed for our 3500s v8, saving like mad to get it fitted now! Anyone got any rough idea how much it would cost for this to be done, including taking the old 4speed out?

It shouldn't take more than about half an hour to get the old box out.

I reckon if you've got a pretty good idea about what needs to be done, and all the kit around you in the way of parts and tools, then someone who's on top of their game should be able to get it started and finished in one day with a bit of time to spare, apart from sending off the speedo head for recalibration. But sheared manifold studs and other unforseens add to the time considerably. Finding that someone could be the difficult bit though....
