Rover P6 Estate V8

Hi All,

You may remember me from years gone by on the forum. I restored a yellow rover P6 estate fitting a toyota supra 5 speed gearbox conversion and later adding Megasquirt fuel injection. Unfortunately the time has come to move on. I'm intending to put the car up for sale publicly in the spring but if anyone on here is interested in making an early offer or giving some guidance on value It would be appreciated.

Cars:
- 1972
- P6 Estate V8s
- Petrol
- Estate
- Primrose Yellow
- Approx 70000
- Long Tax and will be MOT'd before sale.

Good Points: Special Features
- Megasquirt fuel injection
- 3.9 litre engine
- 5 speed supra converions
- Uprated Shocks
- Totally restored

Bad Points:
- Restoration is a few years old and there is the odd mark or bubble here or there
- The fuel injection has been fully mapped but work is required to the cold start mapping

I also have a room full of spares down at my in laws farm up for grabs. Bumpers, wings and various other odds and sods etc. Willing to take an offer on the job lot if anyone in the derbyshire area would like to come and take a look.

I'm asking £5500 for it. I don't know if you are familiar with the car but there has been a considerable amount of work carried out on it. I can send pics if you send me a mail with your address.

Cheers

ben

The car is not concours but is a very, very tidy estate with all the hard work done. It needs someone to buy it and fall in love with it! I've got a young family now and no time for tinkering with cars anymore. (Plenty of time for tinkering with motorbikes though!)

I've made it public now!

I still can't believe it when I look back through all the photos and realise how much time I devoted to it!

Any comments on the Estate gladly appreciated. It will be MOT'd as soon as the weather warms up and available for viewing.

I remember you. I used to enjoy your detailed threads/posts, but generally couldn't understand all the mechanical/electronic wizardry you performed on your car as my mechanical skills are pretty basic. It was a very nice car.

I must say that your Estoura looks spectacular! If I had the funds, I'd absolutely love to own it, and just have it, and my very similarly-coloured 2000. You don't want a P5B, do you? Very best of luck with the sale. Maybe the next time it comes up for sale I'll be in a position to consider it! :D

I*'d love a P5B but my classic car days are over for now. Still got a couple of old bikes and I'll probably stick with those for the time being.

You know how it is. Life is good and then you have children!

Only kidding they're great but it don't half change things.

More pics added on ebay listing. I took the car out and gave it a good run this morning still goes like a dream. MOT is booked in for Tuesday so available for viewing from next week onwards.
