Hi,

My car is being stripped and havingquite a chunk of work done. Prompted by the fact That the door bottoms were Davos but the car is Arctic.

Checking all Rudigers info based on age, model and interior (72, mango) it should be Arctic.

Once the trim was pulled off the roof / screen it seems the the car was originally Davos!!! How can that happen? Mango was not an option on Davos cars.....
Its hard to see on the picture, the roof is nice creamy Arctic and the newly exposed corner is davos

So have I got something rare? A mysterious accident? Or a car that sat in the corner for ages before being built up?

I have found stock labels on some areas of wiring loom with October 1972 printed on them..... Which was after Davos stopped being used.......

It seems what they had on the label and what they actually had in reality often varied. My friend's '69 2000TC has Arden Green on the trim plate but was delivered in Zircon Blue! He'd waited ages for it (He's the only owner the car has had) to be delivered to New Jersey so he stuck with it. He says now he prefers the blue.

Davos ran until approx September 1972. I have a customer who also has a Davos 2000 with Mango leather trim - this shouldn't theoretically exist as Mango replaced red for the 1973 model year, and Arctic replaced Davos almost at the same time, but does!

There's 75% chance, at least, a 1972 white P6 will be Davos.

Cheers
Nick
