is it true that you cant do a clutch on a 2000 without removing the engine? i know a clutch change on a v8 is straight forward and easy. is the 2000 similar?
thanks in advance

It's perfectly possible, but it isn't as straightforward as on the V8. The engine/gearbox needs to be tilted back as far as possible, and all the bellhousing bolts removed, to allow the box to spin so that the starter hump on the bellhousing is at the top and then it will come out.

I recall a neighbour putting some extra clearance into the gearbox tunnel with a club hammer so the box would go back easier
That was a 1965/66 2000SC
