Room for one more?

Been lurking for a while now and like the vibe so thought I'd better say Hi :)

I live on the borders of North London in Herts and drive a P6 every day come rain or shine. It's a bitza (bitza this one and bitza that one) which is now a tax exempt 2200 TC which looks like a series 2 but will end up looking like a series 1 when I get round to painting and swapping the panels over.
I've always had Rovers from my first car including P4, P5s, P6s and SD1s. Still got a couple of off the road cars and a SD1 Vittesse Auto waiting for funds to finish off. Got a Capri with a Rover in it too waiting in the queue.
That's bored you enough but at least I need lurk nomore :)

A long overdue welcome to the, for all Classic Rovers forum.
As always we like to se piccys of your toys, and hear of any interesting things you have done to them.
I have had classics all my life, and use them as my daily driver!
My 1971 Rover V8 for about 8yrs now,and a dolly sprint for 11 yrs previous to that.
I cannot understand those who throw money away on new cars! :?

Yeah, I love old motors :) An SD1 is a modern car to me

When I get the hang of things on here I'll bombard you guys with pics.

- hello from anuvver newbie (to the forum and P6s) - took the 'ol boy ('73 V8) to Bury St Edmunds today (from Ipswich) - fantastic! - farthest I've been so far - started off a bright and sunny, came home in snow showers - Bah! - took me ages to dry the fella down for the night! - TTFN -

Hi grim,
good to see another daily Rover driver, why sit in traffic in a clone mobile lost in a sea of bland and plastic bland? And may I congratulate you on such great lurking. There's a monthly meet near duxford, (cambs, beds, herts all rover meet) listed on the forum maybe you can pop down one time? There's SD1's P6's and the odd P3/4 that turns up there, there is some pics too. enjoy your cars look forward to seeing the pics.

I'll attempt some pics :? If they work I'll edit in some explanations  Erm sort of worked. I'll resize again :)

Wow, what a collection!! *jealous* :p
Don't be. A layer of frost and ice hides the truth  This time of year I can even hold my head high in the daily driver as long as I keep moving

I'd like to have room to park up a few old motors . I'd definitely have a Rover 800 coupe for starters
Possibly a Citroen XM as well

I like that stash of 'spare-parts' that you have...! Are you planning on getting any of them back on the road? If not I can think of a good home for those P5 RoStyles...!!! All the best...

800s are too modern for me but a nice drive. I prefer the easy life than the challenge of Citroen ownership

Unfortunately the space costs me dearly so hoping to do something with them soon

@Grifterkid- If I end up with any spare I'll let you know but they all need their wheels at present :)

My Dad used to work on Rovers so it's in the blood 8) They all start with a fresh battery. The P5b used to be my daily runabout till she needed a sill patching. Wanted to do it properly with a new sill and check the inner and middle whilst there, which never happened :( It's touch and go for her now as time has passed but I've not written her off yet :)
