Rocker cover colour

Anyone know the correct name for the factory grey paint on my rocker cover please. Need a touch up

Hi Chalky.
Some of the p6 parts suppliers had the grey engine made up in aerosol form,not sure if its still
available.
Many years ago i made up colour from mixing up black/blue/grey model enamel.

The car is 75 has done 38000 engine is all original rocker cover is factory painted. Engine is the duck egg blue green colour.

Might give Mark Gray a call at mgbd. Nice chap may be able to help. If not its b and q for a paint match. Don't think vinyl silk will last though!

I found if you etch prime the rocker cover ( if you strip off old paint) The enamel stays on much longer.

Don't really want to strip it all off its too good just needs a little touch up. Perhaps I'm being to fussy and should leave it be

Login to classicroverforum.net in Safari on your phone. find this thread and scroll to the bottom. Tap the red [Post Reply] button, type out whatever you want to say. Then tap the [Upload a file] button. A window will pop up, tap the [Choose file] button. A menu will pop up asking if you want to take a photo or Video, go to your photo library or iCloud Drive if you have it setup. Tap [photo library] and navigate to the pic you want to upload an dthe upload will happen. Once you're happy with the post tap [Post Reply] button and you're all set.

More green than blue Clive. May have a land rover engine apparently. This is what I love about this forum. Only wanted to touch up my rocker. Then off we go. Excellent
 
Sorry the photo thing didn't work. Try taking a screen shot of the photo by holding down both home and power buttons. The resulting image will be much smaller so you should be able to upload it.
