It is with sadness that the passing of Eric Russel (known on this forum under the username P6Rovers) was announced this morning by executives of the Rover Car Club of Canada.
Eric was a strong voice in the North American Rover community, and one of the people I turned to when I needed advice and knowledge during the recommisioning of my vehicle.
RIP Eric, and Happy Rovering.

So very sorry to hear the sad news of Eric Russell passing away.
Spoke to him many times over the years but only met him once, just last year.
I found him to be a real gent and a wonderfully helpful person when it came to all things Rover.
He'll be missed.

Our condolences go out to his wife Linda and his family

Very sad news indeed, I know Eric had been suffering something similar to myself, and had sent me some very supportive messages.

My best wishes and condolences to his family and friends.

Very sad. I have been a Rovernet subscriber for about 10 years and I was fortunate enough to meet Eric breifly a few years ago when he visited NZ. Lovely guy and a great loss to the community.

myself and donna met him and linda this year at the rover america rally in fitchburg and we got on really well. he had been suffering a little bit towards the end of the rally and went straight into hospital on his return home, where he lost the use of his legs, but regained them again for a while and his lymphomia finally caught up with him down his spine and into his brain.

RIP - a real shame

I "met" Eric through Rovernet many years ago, and emailed with him many times when I was younger and learning my way around my first 2000SC. A great guy, and a sad loss.

I corresponded with Eric (by eMail & phone) many times whilst I was active in the P6ROC.
He was a very knowledgeable bloke on all things Rover and extremely helpful when I needed specific information and/or parts.

I was lucky enough to meet both Eric & Linda quite a few years back when they were 'Doing The United Kingdom'
and a very happy evening was spent at the pub alongside members of both Rover P6 Clubs.

Eric was a Gentleman of the Old School and will be sadly missed in the Rover World
R.I.P.

Only just read this sad news as I rarely visit the P6 Forum these days but very sad to here of Eric's demise - We corresponded on several occasions, as fellow members and RO's, and I still have some Icelert parts he kindly sent me many years ago. I hope he's at peace and my thoughts are with his family.
My regards to a true gent', John.
