rear quarter lights

Hi anyone know how to remove the rear quarter lights from the series two door frames, i ve tried and ended up destroying them as im wanting to change mine to tinted glass, and my frames are in good condition and i want to keep them and just change the glass. so any help please

IIRC there's a peg inside the door that the frame sits on top of, and acts as a hinge pin, which you have to unscrew downwards out of the frame. They used to seize when they were nearly new (causing the glass to pull out of the frame), so you'll need lots of penetrating oil and patience.
 
Hi all thanks for help , ive managed to get some rust free frames from Ian and sundym quater lights so ive fitted them thanks for help,
does anyone know if panels of a series 1 2000sc will fit a series 2 v8, as there one on ebay i might get

All panels are (theoretically) interchangeable between all models. There's the obvious S1 / S2 side strip issue, and there are one or two little oddities like round lock holes on very early S1 doors and minor variations in whether anti burst pegs are fitted to some earlier doors, but they are not major. The big issue with all body panels is that more fettling than you might suppose is required to fit panels from one car to another. No worse than fitting new panels though! There are quite a number of threads on here as to how to set about this.
