I’m just floating this idea before I finish working on it.
Originally sourced from Harvey some years ago for my project, a rare chunky cast aluminium sump pan for the BW35. This fitted my ‘72 V8 car with no issues, and provides a much better seal with no possibility of deforming the bolting lip as with the standard thin tin type.
The difference is night and day on quality and functionality, a nice upgrade for style and peace of mind.
I’ve done quite a bit of prep work on this to get it ready for polishing: filing bosses flat, radiusing edges, sanding out casting marks etc.
I did a quick test polish on one area today to see how much more work it would need. It will take the best part of another day to polish it satisfactorily so I’m offering it in this state temporarily so somebody can snap it up should they wish to.
£120 as is (I’ll sand polished area to a uniform satin finish)
£200 polished
Set of correct length bolts included.
