Guten Tag
Yesterday somebody on a supermarket parking lot smiled at Jimmy, and as I inquiered "Looks funny, don`t he" the middle-aged man answered "No, stylish is what springs to my mind".
I asked further, and I was told that my dialog partner had been a driver for the RAF/Rheinarmee in the times, and that the rank of the Rover P6s passenger were distinguishable by the car colour.
"Tobacco Leaf" was one of the prevalent colours for Captains and such ranks, and there might have been a "mod target" on the boot and the name of the regiment that the officer served.
"Googling" does not bring any satisfying results, so does anybody know anything about this?
