hi all,
just rang dirk the organiser for this rally in boston massechusetts. he is booking the hotel for me and my wife. hoping to get out there for about 9 days ( rover classics will be shut 29th may to 7th june ) to do a bit of sight seeing first in and around boston and then travel upto the rally on the 2nd june, which looking at a map my mum has will be around 75 mile or so. i am looking forward to the rally and a rest.

also if anybody is going and wants anything fetching give me a shout and i will try and get it in my suitcase ( clothes will be in the wifes ) i want mine empty to fetch back some NADA bits

Ian,
Great news!
I will finally have a chance to meet you. One of my good friends from the UK will be coming also. Although not a member of this form, he is a strong P6 supporter and attends AGMs and meets.

I am looking forward to RoverAmerica '11 with even more enthusiasm.

hi eric,
i also look forward to meeting you and hopefully a few more people that i talk to and sell parts to, it is always nice to put faces to names. i am staying at the courtyard marriott royal plaza hopefully. dirk is going to book it for me after talking to him last night and e-mail confirmation.

hi all,
getting suitcases packed ready ( full of rover bits ) hope there's room in the wifes for a few of my clothes. just got to hope that this volcanic ash does not get any closer as it could obviously stop us coming over. fingers crossed and hopefully see you all there.

Bummer! I forgot about the volcanic ash. I was just reading the online DT about the problem before I kicked into here. I hope the winds, clouds, and swirls are in your favour at take-off time. We're coming from the other direction and hoping for clearer weather.

Having parts hand-delivered by a UK vendor has to be one of the greatest sales and marketing strategies

Hope to see you there.

Eric

Forget the volcanic ash - I hope you all survived the tornados that hit Massachussetts yesterday

A really rare occurence in that part of the world - it seems to have been in a different part of the state, so hopefully no one from the forum was too badly affected. Sorry for all the other Mass. residents that weren't so lucky.
