Got handed a flyer while at the Enfield Pagent, thought I would go along and have a nose as I've never heard of it and its been running five years I learnt tonight. To me it is a smaller version of whitewebbs museum, they have just won a lotto grant for an extension and some revamping.
Well the weather this evening was wet and drizzly so I knew I was taking a chance on a good turn out but decided to go anyway. Met some nice and friendly people with some nice cars mainly local people, the turn out was low and I took some pics dispite the rain.[/attachment]

Re: Pump House Museum classic car meet.

And now a few cars that turned out they normally have between 10-30 cars that meet so the weather kept most of them away. The meet is always the 1st Tuesday off the month from March through to September and I've commited to go next month and bring a couple of newbies with me.

The location is in Walthamstow east London just incase anyone else here would like to attend...

Re: Pump House Museum classic car meet.

My area & I know the museum. I was a member at one point & took three cars to one show, but working nights now precludes attending these events a lot of the time & it was closed for a time. I saw the original plans for the museum years back (more than five) & they were very ambitious, even including a very short stretch of track with a working steam train but the funding wasn't there & they didn't yet have a secure future for the site which I believe they now have. But it does look a little like a vehicle storage area at the moment which is understandable as if we have space, then we fill it. The old Marshall steam engines are very nice & very rare survivors, they have one of them working on compressed air:

I must make more of an effort to get there, it's the only thing like it round these here parts.

Re: Pump House Museum classic car meet.

Hi TRM, what I meant was the meet has been running for 5 years. The pump house itself was not fully open for viewing but has been there for many years :)

I think this gathering tonight will be the last Tuesday night one for this year will update with pics of attendees tonight...

Boy is it starting to get dark quick now just arrived and it seemed like it was time to leave  well plenty off people but not to many classics :? Considering it was a dry evening and the last Tuesday evening meet till next year March.... I believe that. On the 7th October a classic car show is being held at the pump house entry is £3 towards the pump house fund.... Now for a very few pics...

I was told that I had just missed a guy in a blue 2000 p6 who had left just after 7pm. They thought he may have been local as the car had Leyton Orient F.C sticker on the front screen, his name may have been Matt?.... Anyone on here or a browser maybe?

The stag belongs to the grandson of the consul owner  looks in his 20's didn't see a pony tail but may of had one :?

its probably him then as he is young. Its the corner house by almer road end it sits in the front garden.

You are mistaken I'm afraid, though I have been past to go to the refuse reclamation facility....or the dump to those of us who remember them.

Stig of the RRF just doesn't have the same ring to it.
