For the 10.5 V8 engine 2 designs of pistons A and B are in use and corresponding crankshaft.
The design B pistons are fitted with a cranckshaft which has an indentification groove 'C' in the face at the starter dog end,
Does anyone know how that 'C' groove looks like ?
It's a round semi- circular profile groove machined in the very front face of the crank about halfway between the crank bolt hole and the outer edge. There are diagrams of the two piston types and the two crank faces in the WM IIRC.
