PINCH WELD - Seeking help to buy

Hi Everyone,

My 1976 Rover 3500 P6 is about to go into the trimmers to have a full interior fitted (in leather) and I have been having difficulty finding suitable pinch-weld for my car here in Sydney.
I was given yet another place to try tonight which I will visit on the weekend but my car is going to the trimmer very soon.

The colour of the pinch-weld is mid tan.

Can you buy original pinch-weld OR a good re-creation in the UK that I might be able to access.

Any assitance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Having done a quick google, I suspect Gully means the trim that goes around the door aperture over the spot or "pinch" welded seams. Like door seal but without the seal and covered in a flock/felt effect material.

Try Woolies, woolies trim item 139 or 139a I think

Thanks Richard......you are correct with what I term pinch-weld.

Thanks for the advice.

Hi Guys,

I struck lucky on Saturday morning when I visited an industrial and motor rubber accessories place here in outer Sydney after a referral from about the sixth shop that I had visited here in Sydney.....I had almost given up hope !!!!

They had a small range of imported English pincweld and I purchases 5 metres for my car in a suitable tan colour.

The pricing was quite a bit higher than what I could have sourced from the UK company mentioned on a previous post.

Many thanks for the assistance on this part of my project.

The car was taken to the trimmers last night......back in 4-6 weeks with new leather re-trim, sound proofing, new door trims and new carpet........I am so looking forward to getting the car back and taking it for a drive.......the car had a fairly untidy cloth trim with tatty carpets so it will be a dramatic change.

Many thanks

Nice one Gully!,
I'd love to see some pics of your new re-trim when you get the car back, if you can post them up.
