Hi, is there any where I can still purchase Mexico Brown paint? ???

I'm after a very small amount to touch up around the bonnet badge.

Thanks for any help.

Kev

Hi Kev,

Any good car paint specialist will mix you up a pot, either to the code or matched to your car, some will even make spray cans. Check yellow pages or ask in your local motor factors (proper old fashioned corner shop with bloke in overalls, not a superstore)

I bought a spray can from a car parts shop some years ago. Its probably sitting in my garage somewhere.

Thanks everyone, I've now found a supplier thanks to the paint code being displayed on the forum.

All the best,

Kev

well go and look for him then Ralph :D

Resurrecting a long dead thread...

I visited my Mexico brown P6 on Sunday and found the aerosol in the boot. I parked this car up 14 years ago (how time flies!), due to failing the MOT on rotted floor pans, and this is the first time that I've been back to see it.

"Cars" in Dagenham (do a google search). Similarly most decent auto refinishing shops will provide celly or 2k. Lots of scare mongering over water based .. many are struggling with this as it is not a lot of good for certain colours.

Mexico will be easily available.

Halfords seem to have an excellent range of paints, I recently bought mexico brown and several other P6 colours, mixed in aerosol cans, in cellulose form, from the branch in Cork. They seem to have all the colours on the system (I got davos white, artic white, mexaco brown and almond).
Regards,
Dave
