P6 Rover Owners Club National Rally 2007

Can the committee please advise as to why the P6 Rover Owners Club National Rally for 2007 is not advertised under 'EVENTS' to at least let everyone know where and when it is even if the costs are not known at this time.

The event is to be discussed at the committee meeting this sunday, so more details should be available next week.

The 2007 National Rally is advertised in December 2006 issue of P6 News on page 34. Basic information is listed below but we hope to have further information from David Griffin at the Committee meeting this Sunday.

To avoid confusing new/potential members , perhaps Brenda should now be " Brenda former Membership " ?

I see " Paul .Chairman" and " Pete the Editor " still appear in the members list

The problem is that you can't change the login name, I have asked people to re-signup with different names.

Without oversimplifying your software program surely the answer is to use industrial practice? ie member/official resigns-login dies with involvement. Some security systems do this automatically, others manual. The ex official should then be given a new login, if required.
Having read some of the previous posts I wonder if this has made some of the club 'politicals' worse rather than better?

I agree, I guess we've just been a bit too "nice".

To be honest it would be better if we didn't have login's that intimated to a particular role. (says "Webmaster" :D ) And in fact most of the current committee members (apart from me) don't have the role as part of the id.

With the new verification process in the registration, I can prevent people signing up with unacceptable names.

Am I being dim,but where is the price for adults,I can see the price for oaps, and kids, and the driver, but what about normal adults,

We noticed that !
So we are currently clarifying the arrangements, there should be more details in the next P6 News.

If I remember right, the admission charge for the Crich tramway museum also entitles you to free tram rides. I also seem to remember that the ticket has a section for you to sign, and you get free re-admission for 1 year! Although when revisiting you do have to pay for tram rides.
I'm looking forward to this one, it's only 10 to 15 minutes from my house! It will make a lovely change from driving long distances to a show...........Although that's the best part in a P6,right? :D

I for one will be making the trip up from Bristol,in my p6v8 and look forward to meeting fellow club members.
I will come up on the saturday.
Could any local members reccomend a good place to stay overnight?
I do not drink or smoke,so a pub is a no no.
I am 46,free,single , not fat or balding :p :p
A good countryside B/B in the area with a nice scenic drive would be ideal!! :p
I may be persuaded to help out a bit on the day :)
PM me, or E me at; p6v8@blueyonder.co.uk
Thanks in anticipation of your suggestions :D
